Meat, Milk, and Egg Inspection Bureau

The Montana Department of Livestock Meat, Milk, & Egg Inspection Bureau's mission is to protect meat, egg, and dairy consumers of Montana from potentially harmful products by ensuring that all products meet or exceed strict federal and state regulations and standards with licensing, on-site inspections, product labeling, product sampling, and more.

The Meat, Milk, and Egg Inspection Bureau is made up of two main sections including the Meat and Poultry Inspection Section, that is responsible for the regulation of meat and poultry products slaughtered, processed, and/or stored in Montana and the Milk and Egg Inspection Section, responsible for the regulation of milk and egg products produced within the state of Montana.
